Visakhapatnam: Federation of Andhra Pradesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FAPCCI) on Friday announced launching of excellence awards this year inviting entries before the last date of July 15.
At a function held here, Finance Minister Buggana Rajendranath and Industries Minister Gudivada Amarnath released the poster and a film on FAPCCI Excellence Awards.
The awards are being given sometime in September in recognition of the outstanding achievements of Industry, innovation and technology and the spirit of entrepreneurship, FAPCCI president Karunendra S Jasti told the media here.
FAPCCI is an apex chamber in Andhra Pradesh with its office here and Vijayawada actively engaged in promoting industry and commerce. The organisation said they will give the first edition of excellence awards to support the industrial ecosystem and celebrate the success of growth of Andhra Pradesh Industry. The nominations are invited from various categories, MSMEs and entrepreneurs.
The awards will motivate the companies to aim for national and international awards and help create an environment that fosters innovation, entrepreneurship, and economic growth, he said.
With this maiden year, FAPCCI will continue to conduct it as an annual feature, Karunendra said.
As many as 11 categories have been identified for the awards and an equal number of industry partners have come forward to institute the awards. The jury is headed by Justice Jasti Chalameshwar, retired Judge, Supreme Court. Other members include Aditya Nath Das, Chief Advisor, AP Government, Prof M Chandrasekhar, Director, IIM-Visakhapatnam, Srini Raju, Chairman, Sri City (P) Limited & Founder-Chairman of iLabs Capital, G Janaki Ramachandram, Director-Academic Administration, Krea University.
